March Madness panel breaks down ‘Chaos of College Sports’

Seton Hall students got a look into the past, present, and future of college sports during the “March Madness: At the Root of College Sports Chaos” event held on March 16. The panel featured Stillman School of Business Professors Len DeLuca and Michael Smith, along with Director of Athletics and Recreation, Bryan Felt, who shared stories, history, and opinions on some of the biggest moments and issues in college athletics.

Baseball dominates Wagner in midweek makeup game

Seton Hall baseball defeated Wagner, 14-1, behind a dominant offensive performance at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. The Pirates’ bats came alive early and never slowed down, powering a commanding win in non-conference action.

Holloway, Clark earn National Association of Basketball Coaches Mid-Atlantic District Honors

Already named both the AP’s BIG EAST Coach of the Year and the unanimous BIG EAST Coach of the Year, Seton Hall men’s basketball head coach Shaheen Holloway added a third accolade this season on Tuesday by being named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Mid-Atlantic District Co-Coach of the Year. The honors were voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I college basketball.

AP names Holloway BIG EAST Coach of the Year; Conference honor expected to follow

On Tuesday morning, the Associated Press (AP) named Seton Hall men’s basketball head coach Shaheen Holloway its BIG EAST Coach of the Year, with Holloway expected to take home the actual conference honor when the BIG EAST announces the winner, along with its remaining individual awards, in a press conference held at Madison Square Garden (MSG) on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the conference tournament.
