Women's golf prepares for St. John's Invitational

The Pirates’ men’s golf wrapped up play in Lorton, Va., this weekend at the Patriot Intercollegiate. The blue and white were held to fourth place behind James Madison, Marshall, and Missouri University.
The Seton Hall women’s golf team registered a fourth place finish at the Yale Women’s Intercollegiate in New Haven, Conn.

Seton Hall Men’s golf team finished fifth at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The Pirates were led by junior Ryan Snouffer, who finished second overall with a 4-under-par, 69-72-71-212. Snouffer started strong in the tournament with a 69 in the first round. In the second round, he shot a 72, but bounced back to finish with a 71 in the third round. He finished two strokes behind the individual title winner, Hartford’s Evan Russell, who shot 6-under-par.

Led by rising sophomore LJ Go, a more experienced Seton Hall men’s golf team looks to take the next step as a program with a familiar seasoned schedule.
Sara Doell sat in the Seton Hall athletic department just four years ago seeking a job. She didn't know who was going to be a part of her program, but just hoped to get it off the ground. The Pirates had cut track and field, putting them down to 13 athletic programs, leaving a slot open for women's golf to emerge onto the scene.
