In a season full of immense highs and disastrous lows, Seton Hall willed their way to the WNIT Championship after a late-season surge. Earning a 16-2 record over their past 18 games, the Pirates were prepared to take on a well-coached, dominant South Dakota State team that lost just one game during their non-conference schedule. The late-game scare in the WNIT Final Four against Middle Tennessee almost ended the season, but it was the Jackrabbits that put the Pirates away in the Saturday afternoon matchup, 82-50.

The Pirates traveled to the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to take on Middle Tennessee State University in the WNIT Final Four. Neither team has made it this far prior to their matchup. Trailing by 4 with just 23 seconds left, Lauren Park-Lane and Sidney Cooks propelled Seton Hall to advance to the WNIT Championship, 74-73.

Coming off a three-game win streak, the Seton Hall Pirates (4-18) looked to keep their momentum going as they hosted the Wagner Seahawks (3-18) at Owen T. Carroll Field on Wednesday. Junior LHP Aaron Groller got the start for Seton Hall, while Wagner sent out junior RHP Ruben Del Castillo.

After a first-round loss in the SEC Tournament to Alabama a few weeks ago, redshirt junior Jala Jordan elected to enter her name in the transfer portal. A Philadelphia native, Jordan chose to stay within the tri-state area and has committed to join the Seton Hall women’s basketball program beginning in Fall 2022.
