The Seton Hall men's basketball team added 6-foot-7 Italian wing Theo Airhienbuwha to their roster for the 2026-27 season.
Airhienbuwha, from Verona, Italy, posted his official visit to SHU on his Instagram story and committed to the team hours later. He spent last season playing professionally in Italy at 20 years old.
He played six games for Italy in last year’s FIBA U20 European Championship, averaging 14 points and 5.7 rebounds in 22.8 minutes per game.
He has professional experience, playing for Dolomiti Energia Trentino in Lega Basket Serie A, Italy's top professional league, where he averaged 4.2 minutes across 11 games. He also averaged 6.3 minutes across 10 EuroCup games, Europe's second-tier club competition.
He joins Mihailo Petrovic and Ilay Dolinski as former international pros to join the Pirates this season. Like Dolinski, Airhienbuwha had previously committed to Tulsa.
Airhienbuwha adds depth on the wing behind Rodney Brown and Mayar Wol. A “super effort guy” with a strong frame, he attacks the rim and defends multiple positions. He brings experience and flexibility to the Pirates.
With 14 players currently on the roster, SHU has one open roster spot remaining for the upcoming season.
