We’ve finally hit the mid-way point in the NFL season. The trading block is open, teams are separating from each other, and above all the MVP race is officially on. Often known as an award just handed to the quarterback of the team with the best record, this year there are some running backs sprinkled in among the signal callers. And with no clear cut favorite, this race might not be won until week seventeen.

The Seton Hall volleyball team got back in the win column tonight with a straight set win over Georgetown, dispatching the Hoyas 25-13, 25-18, 25-19, a much needed rebound after a straight set loss to Creighton Saturday night.

It seems like yesterday that the humidity was thick and college football was kicking off in August. Now that the temperatures have dropped and the days have become shorter, it is time to recap and assess all that has occurred in college football thus far as most teams have played six games out of their scheduled 12.

Cross country is arguably the least publicized sport at Seton Hall but also among the most difficult because of its grueling schedule. While meets take place with little fanfare, long training runs and the need to stay in top physical condition in addition, to keeping up with homework and classes puts cross country’s difficulty on par with any other Seton Hall sport.

Women’s tennis struggles at West Point

This past weekend, the Seton Hall women’s tennis team competed in the West Point Invitational, a tournament featuring schools from all over the map and offering a wide range of competitors. For the Pirates, the tournament did not go as planned, as many players were eliminated in the first or second round of their respective brackets.
