Esteban speaks about path to presidency

After spending nearly four years as the provost of Seton Hall University, Dr. Gabriel Esteban received a simple phone call from the chair of the board of regents, offering him the position as interim president in June 2010.

Turf gives new look to Owen T. Carroll

Owen T. Carroll Field, the primary athletic field on the campus of Seton Hall University, underwent various renovations this summer. The field is the home to men's and women's soccer, as well as the baseball team.

Gonzalez, Hall reach settlement

Seton Hall University and former men's basketball coach Bobby Gonzalez have reached a settlement in the coach's wrongful termination suit, according to The Star-Ledger.

President's Hall collapses

Along the coast of the Jersey Shore, Asbury Park's legendary Stone Pony hosted hometown heroes The Gaslight Anthem, still riding the momentum off their excellent summer release, "American Slang." Thanks to the perennial traffic that is the Garden State Parkway, I arrived just in time to see the headlining Gaslight on an outdoor stage, recalling the glory days of Skate and Surf.

Not your typical murder mystery

Seton Hall's Theatre Council will present its first summer production, "Mystery Play," between July 9 and 18 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. in the Theatre-in-the-Round.

Gonzo charged with shoplifting

Update: according to the Associated Press, Gonzalez pleaded not guilty when arraigned Wednesday morning on shoplifting and criminal mischief charges. The former coach's arraignment was held in Newark.
