Seton Hall women’s basketball will be without one of their top players next season, as senior guard / forward Jordana Codio has entered the transfer portal following a strong 2025-26 campaign.
Codio quickly became a huge piece for the Pirates after transferring in from the University of Texas. She played in all 32 games and made 26 starts, leading the team in scoring nine times throughout the season. The Winter Garden, Florida native also averaged 12.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while playing nearly 30 minutes a night.
Her impact was felt all season, especially on offense. One of her biggest moments came in the BIG EAST Tournament, where she dropped a career-high 35 points in the Pirates’ quarterfinals win over St. John’s on March 7. Her dominant performance was the second most points scored in a BIG EAST Tournament game in program history and helped earn her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
She also had other standout performances, including 27 points and nine rebounds at Butler on March 1 and her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds against DePaul on Feb. 14.
Before arriving in South Orange, Codio spent three seasons at Texas, where she played a limited role off the bench. Coming to SHU gave her a bigger opportunity, and she made the most of it by becoming one of the team’s most reliable scorers.
Jordana also shared a message on Instagram about her decision, thanking the program and reflecting on her time in South Orange.
“This year has been nothing short of a blessing,” Codio wrote. “And I am so grateful to have been a part of an amazing program and university, as well as a future alumni here at Seton Hall.”
Codio’s departure leaves big shoes to fill for the Pirates. With her in the portal, The Hall will need to rely on returning players and new recruits to replace her production as the team looks to regroup for next season.
