[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="570"] Courtesy of cmrinstitute.org[/caption] The Stillman School of Business will hold a huge celebration in commemoration of their 65th anniversary. The festivities will be co-sponsored by the Alumni Association and will be held during pirate weekend festivities. The event’s purpose is to highlight the accomplishments that the Stillman alum and current students have made since school’s establishment in 1950.The business school continues to be a standout at SHU with its national recognition. Associate Dean for the Stillman School of Business Leigh Ominus said there will be vintage memorabilia like old yearbooks and photographs of old events. She encourages all students to come and connect with alumni. The Gentlemen of the Hall will be singing and President Dr. Gabriel Esteban will be giving remarks on this momentous feat. Joyce Strawser, Dean of the Stillman School of Business said students should connect with alumni and have a good time while also celebrating the school’s history. Strawser added it will be a fun time and she looks forward to seeing everyone. “I am so excited to see what great things they have in store for the 65th anniversary event. Stillman is such a great business school so I know they have great things planned for the event and for the years to come,” said Tanaya Jackson, senior accounting and marketing major. This is a great opportunity for current students to speak to past business students to learn about the school’s dynamics in the past and its rich history. According to the Seton Hall website, the business school has maintained accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business which is earned by less than five percent of business schools in the world. Stillman is the only school in Northern New Jersey to be accredited in both accounting and business. In the midst of the pirate weekend fun, be sure to join Strawser and Esteban for cocktails, food and entertainment. The celebration will take place on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. on the fourth floor atrium in Jubilee Hall. All those interested can R.S.V.P with Carol Flynn.
