Extra base hits have been key to softball’s success

After numerous trips to warmer locales in February and March, a grueling Big East schedule that included trips to Chicago and Providence, and a few picture-perfect weather days in South Orange, the softball team will be playing its final series of the regular season in Omaha, Nebraska against Creighton over the weekend.

The Seton Hall baseball team capped off a three-game series against the Butler Bulldogs with a 9-4 win at Jackson Kaiser Stadium in Queens, New York on Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of the set.

Women’s golf places third at Big East Championship

This past weekend was the culmination of it all for the Seton Hall women’s golf team and its 2018-19 campaign, a sweet chance for a year’s worth of work and season-long dreams to be realized with a hopeful Big East title. The Big East tournament, featuring the conference’s six women’s golf programs – Xavier, Georgetown, St. John’s, Butler, Creighton and Seton Hall, was the task on hand. The Pirates put forth a good effort in the tournament, but they finished in third overall.

However, progressing into that new period, and continually breaking down the boundaries is what separates the good from the great – and Mia Kness is great.

Pirates split doubleheader with Lehigh

The Seton Hall softball team went 1-1 in their doubleheader clash with Lehigh, extending their record to 20-22 on the season. Seton Hall took the first game 9-7 while Lehigh recovered from their first game defeat with an 6-0 victory.

Controversy mars losses to St John’s

The Seton Hall softball team battled but ultimately came up short on Saturday against St John’s, losing both games of a doubleheader. The Johnnies took game one, 4-3, in eight innings and dropped game two, 2-0.

Baseball falls short in doubleheader against ranked TCU

The Seton Hall baseball team dropped both games of its doubleheader Saturday against Texas Christian University, bringing its season record to 14-17. This was the Pirates’ first meeting with TCU ever and their first meeting with a nationally ranked opponent this season.
