Huskies head to struggling Hall

With losses piling up to eight out of nine games, the men's bas­ketball team looks to score a win against the Connecticut Huskies this Saturday. The Huskies hold a 15-5 overall record with 5-3 re­cord in the Big East and are sev­enth in the conference standings.

Blue Demons beat down Pirates

The women's basketball team got picked apart last night against the DePaul Blue Demons and left the Windy City with a disappoint­ing 74-48 loss.

New coach begins new season

The softball team will kick off its 2013 season under new head coach Paige Smith in North Caro­lina this Friday at the Hampton Inn Campbell Stampede Tourna­ment.

Syracuse game to set attendance record

A record-setting crowd will be in attendance when Seton Hall hosts the Syracuse Orange on Feb. 16. For the first time in the six-year history of the building the upper levels will be opened up to fans. It will also be the last regular season meeting between these two founding members of the Big East Conference.

Spreading school spirit with Speedos

School spirit is an idea that many college sports teams thrive on. Seeing fans cheering and screaming at the top of their lungs is the biggest morale boost any athlete can ask for. Seeing a group of men's swimmers wear­ing speedos as a distraction, well that's even better.

No. 24 Cincinnati comes to visit Pirates

Losers of six of their past sev­en games, the men's basketball returns home to the Prudential Center on Saturday to face the No. 24 Cincinnati Bearcats. The two teams enter the game at op­posite ends of the Big East stand­ings with the Hall in a tie for 12th with a 2-6 conference record and the Bearcats in a tie for fourth at 5-3.

Pirates beat USF, end losing streak

The men's basketball team won an important Big East Conference match-up at home Wednesday night against the Uni­versity of South Florida Bulls, improving to 13-6 on the season and 2-4 in the Big East.
