The Seton Hall community came together on Giving Day, on April 22-23, to raise over $764,000 for Seton Hall Athletics, making it the highest-funded area of support with over 1,000 donors, followed by the Men's Basketball Revenue Share, with donations reaching over $443,000.
The Men’s Basketball Revenue Share supports student-athletes directly. The Men’s Basketball Fund, which raised over $11,000, supports the program more broadly, including team operations and development, University Relations told The Setonian.
These donations reflect strong support for SHU’s athletic programs across the board: The Pirate Blue Athletic Fund, the fundraising arm of SHU athletics, also reached over $218,000, while $17,000 was donated toward the Cross Country Fund, and $13,000 toward the Men’s Soccer Fund.
University Relations said Athletics saw a record growth, with a 13% in donors and a 56% rise in funds raised, “reflecting a broad support for all teams and all student athletes.”

To kick off Giving Day, @shuathletics posted a statement from Athletic Director Brian Felt to Instagram.
“We are investing meaningfully and strategically in our basketball programs, and just as importantly, we have the right leadership in place to translate those resources into success,” Felt said.
Giving Day is a two-day annual fundraising campaign organized by the Division of University Advancement. It unites donors in every area of the university, from schools and colleges to athletics, student services, scholarships and more.
This year, SHU totaled over $2.5 million in donations, compared to $2.2 million last year.
The fundraiser also raised over $142,000 for the College of Human Development, Culture and Media, $124,000 for the Stillman School of Business, $103,000 for Seton Hall Law, $68,000 for the College of Arts and Sciences and $30,000 for the School of Diplomacy and International Relations.
Additionally, over $81,000 was raised for Centers and Institutes, $49,000 for the Seton Hall Fund and $41,000 for Resilience, Integrity, Scholarship and Excellence (RISE).
Further, over $70,000 was raised for the Center for Sports Media Opportunity Endowed Fund and over $50,000 for the Front Gate Beautification Fund.
University Relations told The Setonian about this year’s milestones:
“Seton Hall Giving Day 2026 surpassed its goal with 2,183 donors contributing $2.5 million to support priorities across the University, including scholarships, academic programs and athletics, building on last year’s strong results. Participation was fueled by challenges across schools and colleges, with notable engagement from young alumni and reunion classes. All gifts advanced the University’s comprehensive campaign, For All, Forever, reflecting continued momentum and broad-based support for Seton Hall students and programs. Last year’s Giving Day raised over $2.2 million from 2,070 Pirates and Seton Hall Community members as of Friday, April 11, 2025.”
