Men’s basketball’s Elijah Fisher enters transfer portal, third Pirate to do so Monday

Pirates continue their roster rebuild as Fisher enters the transfer portal.

Seton Hall men’s basketball will see yet another potential roster change, as a third Pirate entered the transfer portal on Monday alone.

247Sports’ Dushawn London reported on Monday evening that senior guard Elijah Fisher, seemingly exercising a fifth year of eligibility, has entered the transfer portal, per Solomon Yon of WeShall Sports.

Fisher becomes one of several Pirates looking for a new home as the roster continues to shift heading into next season.

Fisher came to The Hall with strong expectations after a breakout year at Pacific, where he averaged 15.7 points per game and ranked among the top scorers in the West Coast Conference (WCC).

This past season, Fisher appeared in 33 games and made starts early in the year. He averaged 6.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game, while shooting 45.5% from the field. While his numbers dropped from the year before, he still showed flashes of his scoring ability, especially early in the season.

One of his best performances came against Wagner on Nov. 7, when he scored a season high 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting (57.1%). He also had strong outings against NC State in Maui on Nov. 24, with 13 points and seven rebounds, and at Kansas State on Dec. 6 with 16 points.

Before arriving at SHU, Fisher built a strong college resume. He began his career at Texas Tech, then played in the BIG EAST at DePaul, where he averaged 10.2 points per game. He later broke out at Pacific, showing he could be a top-scoring option.

He also brings international experience, having played for Team Canada in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup, where he averaged 11.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Fisher’s scoring ability should make him an interesting prospect in the transfer portal, likely to join a team where he can come into a larger offensive role.
