Seton Hall says issue that prevented users from accessing Microsoft Teams meetings has been resolved

An issue that kept some users from being able to join Microsoft Teams meetings on Thursday morning has been resolved by the company, according to Seton Hall's Department of Information Technology.

Around noon, the University in an email said that it was investigating an issue that was preventing users from joining Microsoft Teams meetings on Thursday afternoon.

According to the University’s system status page, Microsoft detected a “drop in availability for services that facilitate meeting join functionality” and said that the company was working to determine what steps were needed to rectify the issue.

It's unclear how many users were affected by the outage. According to Downdetector, a website that tracks service outages in real time, hundreds of users began reporting issues with Teams around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
