Senior Megan Tenhundfeld led the Pirates on the course, shooting a 16-over-par for the weekend, which placed her in 33rd out of 86 total golfers. As a team, Seton Hall had a final score of 87-over-par for the tournament. Several respectable programs were competing in the tournament, creating a highly competitive field. Among those on the course included tournament-winner Furman, Clemson, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Harvard, Yale and Big East rival Georgetown. On the tournament’s first day, SHU sophomores Cassie Pantelas and Macky Fouse paced the Pirates by shooting a 4-over-par and 5-over-par, respectively. That first day would be the Pirates’ best. The Pirates were in eighth place after Day 1, but would fall to their final place of 14th at the end of the weekend. The tournament’s second day saw the Pirates fall from eighth to tenth place. Macky Fouse was one of the Pirates’ leaders once again, shooting a 6-over-par. Tenhunfeld stepped up on the second day to tie Fouse for the round, as she also shot a 6-over-par. As a whole, the Pirates had seven more strokes in their second round than their first. The third and final day of the tournament saw the Pirates play to a score of 34-over-par. Tenhunfeld used her final round on the course to give her the best overall score among Seton Hall’s golfers. She shot a 74, which was the lowest round any Pirate golfer had in the tournament. The Pirates will wrap up their season Oct. 24 and 25 in the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational.   Andrew Lombardo can be reached at andrew.lombardo@student.shu.edu
