It's officially basketball season.
The road woes for Seton Hall’s men’s soccer team continued tonight as the Pirates fell to Xavier 2-1. Carlton McKenzie provided the only goal of the night with a spectacular shot in the 69th minute and the Pirates had numerous other chances throughout the game but it wasn’t enough to surpass the Musketeers. The loss is the second in a row for the Pirates following a 4-0 setback to Butler on October 19 and continues the road struggles the team has experienced this season. Seton Hall is 1-6 away from South Orange and 4-1 at home.
It took nearly a decade, but Kevin Willard finally has the Seton Hall men’s basketball program where he wants it after taking over as coach in 2010.
Kevin Willard and the Seton Hall Pirates are no stranger to the AP Top 25 poll.
The Seton Hall swimming and diving team currently sits at 4-1, with its only loss this season to in-state rival Rutgers.
As the season approaches, so does the beginning of Shadeen Samuels’ farewell tour, as it is a year surrounded by excitement thanks to a Pirate squad being led by the projected best player in the conference.
The men’s swimming and diving team captured back-to-back Big East championships in 2017 and 2018, and while not as successful when compared to the men, the women have finished as high as third in the Big East.
