Pirates take 3rd in tournament

It was nearly exactly a year ago to the date that the Seton Hall men’s golf team registered a 4th place finish at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Tournament in upstate Hamilton, New York. They were headed in their efforts by a freshman playing in his first ever collegiate tournament --  Devin Ramachandran, whose heady play landed him in a tie for fourth place on the leaderboards, the top number for any Pirate in the tournament.

Volleyball coach Yaeger ready to lead revamped roster

It’s never an easy task to overcome the loss of seniors who made up most of a team’s production, including one outside hitter who finished in the top five in school history for kills. Head volleyball coach Allison Yaeger is now tasked with mixing a strong freshman class with some returning veterans in order to guide this year’s team to success.

Men’s soccer team starting strong in new formation

The tactical and systematic preparation that goes into styling a team’s game plan often goes unnoticed when a side has players consistently performing at high level. Though the soccer has become a much more fluid sport in terms of where players are positioned on the field, a team’s shape ultimately defines its strengths and weaknesses in terms of personnel.

The tri-state area was hit with the full force of fall weather today, as cool temperatures and swirling winds brought summer to a brief halt. International Flavor: Lindberg looks overseas for recruits

After an onslaught of departures at the end of last season, Seton Hall men’s soccer head coach Andreas Lindberg and his staff left no stone unturned when scouting and recruiting for the 2019 season. Six prospects from across England, Sweden, Egypt, Israel and Malta comprised most of the nine-man freshmen class while seven transfer students also joined Seton Hall during the offseason. This whirlwind of incoming and outgoing players has not harmed the chemistry within the side, however, and Lindberg feels they are even more unified now than when he initially took charge last year.

Former Seton Hall great has number retired by Jackals

Isaac Pavlik wore the number 7 with the New Jersey Jackals, which was retired by the independent baseball franchise last Thursday. He is now only one of five players to have his number retired by the organization, including Hall of Fame member Yogi Berra. What is more remarkable about the former Seton Hall pitcher is that his jersey number is almost equal to the number of people he graduated with in high school.
