Seton Hall set to face Rhode Island

Coming off their first loss of the season the Pirates come back on the court Sunday to face the Rhode Island Rams in the consolation game of the Hall of Fame Tip-off at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The loss dropped the Pirates to 2-1.

Seton Hall loses to Washington in overtime

Despite erasing an 18-point second half deficit, the men's basketball team lost its first game of the season on Saturday night,84-73, to the Washington Huskies at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

Transfers help lead Pirates to 2-0 start

Newcomers to the Pirates basketball team, juniors Eugene Teague and Brian Oliver, have helped lead the team to a 2-0 re­cord. They have finally made their long awaited return to the court, after sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer regulations.

Roommate competition 'shows in the pool'

For the typical Seton Hall junior, their roommate is a good friend they've met through their first years of college. They know how to make each other angry, happy, and know what's best for each other. However, junior swimmers Jane Ehret and Kerrie Kolackovsky aren't exactly the typical roommates.

Pirates win by 39 to open season

In front of a sold out crowd at Walsh Gymnasium, the men's basketball team blew out the UMKC Roos by 39 points, 75-36, in its season opener on Friday night.

Cosby may play in opener

In the week of the men's bas­ketball season opener against UMKC, the Pirates might receive some good news. Sophomore point guard Aaron Cosby could potentially play in the first game of the season after suffering a PCL injury in practice.

Women perfect in pool

The women's swimming and diving teams looked impressive in their meet over the weekend against Providence College as it cruised to victory, 176-99, remaining perfect at 6-0.

Seton Hall set to kick off season against UMKC

The men's basketball team will suit up for the first time as the Pirates tip off the 2012-13 season against the UMKC Kangaroos, Friday night. The Pirates are coming off a 21 win season while UMKC went 10-21 last season.

Hard work' ahead in offseason

The 2012 season ended for the men's soccer team on Nov. 1 in the first round of the Big East Championships with a 3-1 loss to Villanova on the road.
