Valenti's Verdict: SHU baseball needs to put more emphasis on non-conference games

For the second straight season the Pirates find themselves in the Big East Championship down in Clearwater, Fla. Last season the Hall earned a spot in the NCAA Regionals after an unexpected run to the conference title led to a NCAA Tournament appearance, but the team is going to need another run if they hope to make the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.

Pittsburgh Panthers sue Big East Conference

Although the Pittsburgh Panthers are opponents of the Seton Hall baseball team on the diamond this weekend, Pitt is making news off the field as the school is suing the Big East Conference, in hopes of leaving the conference a season early, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article from the Associated Press.

Penn Relay's honor Hall's '86 relay team

The former Seton Hall Uni­versity track and field program was honored this past weekend when the 1986 Penn Relay sprint medley relay championship team was inducted into the Penn Relay Wall of Fame at The Palestra in Philadelphia, Pa.

Hoyas up next for Pirates

After being shut out by St. Peter's on Tuesday afternoon, Se­ton Hall is looking to get back on track this weekend with a three-game road series against the Georgetown Hoyas.

At the end of April last season, the Seton Hall baseball team was still without an identity. Sitting one game under .500, the Pirates were on the outside looking in at the Big East Tournament.

Golf sets the bar 'high'

Head coach Sara Doell had one message for the women's golf team entering the Big East Championship, and that was to turn people's heads and make them say, "wow, where did Seton Hall come from." That's exactly what they did.

Seton Hall Swept by Louisville

On a wet and rainy Sunday morning, the No. 9 Louisville Cardinals completed a three-game sweep of the softball team, using a five run fifth inning to beat the Pirates 6-2, dropping the Pirates to a record of 20-25 and 2-12 in the Big East.
