Baseball: Pirates walk-off in extras

First baseman Michael Betz lined a fastball into left field, scoring outfielder Ryan Sullivan from third to win the Pirates' longest game of the year, a 4-3 12-inning victory over Lafayette on Wednesday night at Owen T. Caroll Field.

Hot Huskies on tap for Hall this weekend

The last time the baseball team faced Connecticut it was to ad­vance to the Big East Champion­ship game. This time around it will be both teams' second con­ference series of the year when the Pirates take on the Huskies in Storrs, Conn.

Baseball team set for rival Rutgers this weekend

The Seton Hall baseball team will open 2012 Big East Conference play on Friday evening by hosting its rivals from down the N.J. Turnpike, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, in a three-game weekend series at Owen T. Carroll Field.

Seton Hall survives Stony Brook in NIT opener

Stony Brook's last second 3-point attempt from senior Bryan Doughter rimmed out and the put back attempt form junior Tommy Brenton rolled around the rim and out as the buzzer sounded to give Seton Hall the 63-61 win over the Seawolves in the opening round of the NIT at Walsh Gymnasium.
