The Corporation for New Jersey Local Media (CNJLM) honored The Setonian with a Student College/University Impact in Journalism Award at the fifth annual Byrne Kean dinner at the Park Avenue Club on Nov. 18, “for its courageous reporting on sexual abuse and accountability on campus,” according to CNJLM.
The Setonian’s Campus Life section has reigned strong, for the past nine years, as the place to find what’s going on around campus, learn about clubs and fellow peers and alumni, and provide a sneak peek into the life of a pirate student.

One of the most anticipated nights of the year happened. The 2025 Academy Awards aired on March 2 was interesting, to say the least. It was not one of the craziest, but it had its moments.
Films work best when they derive from the depths of the director's imagination. Films have the unique power of visually transporting audiences to other worlds. I view animation to be film in its purest form. There is no other visual medium that is as limitless as animation. An animator is not bound to the restraints of the real world, and creativity can be set free.

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, President Donald Trump signed an executive order preventing transgender athletes from competing in sports that align with their gender identity. The following day, the NCAA barred transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.
Growing up, I was always considered “bigger” just because my thighs were big and my female features developed before everyone else’s.
Taking accountability seems simple, but it is a skill that most people don’t understand.
