Your voting guide for 2026–2027 student government elections

Students will vote April 14–15 for executive board and senatorial positions across campus.

Campaigns are underway and ballots will soon open as Seton Hall students prepare to vote in the 2026–27 Student Government Association (SGA) elections on April 14 and 15.

Students can vote on Engage on both days. Candidates are running for senatorial positions representing each academic class as well as the School of Diplomacy, the Stillman School of Business, the School of Theology and Military Science/ROTC.

Students will vote for the executive board, which consists of the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

Two tickets are competing for the executive board: the Pekala ticket and the Crumes ticket.

Led by presidential candidate Ewa Pekala, a junior biology major, the Pekala ticket—which also includes vice presidential candidate Max Kastner, secretary candidate Alyssa Perez and treasurer candidate Dylan Espinelli—has coined the tagline “a ticket for all.”

According to the campaign’s Instagram, the ticket emphasizes initiatives such as enhancing financial accessibility, advocating for club success, fostering a transparent university and serving as a voice for the community.

Opposing them in the race is the Crumes ticket, led by presidential candidate Khalil Crumes, a junior accounting and criminal justice major. The ticket, which uses the tagline “Make help visible. Make help normal. Make help powerful,” also includes vice presidential candidate Krystal Steele, secretary candidate Mariam Hamed and treasurer candidate CJ Remigio.

According to their Instagram, the Crumes ticket aims to improve awareness of campus resources, increase transparency around career opportunities and SGA operations, and foster a sense of community culture on campus.

In addition to the two tickets, unticketed candidates Thomas Canela and Salma Osman are running independently for treasurer and secretary, respectively.

Three freshmen are running to represent the class of 2029, while five sophomores are seeking to represent the class of 2028. Edward Sherman, a business major, is the sole candidate running to represent the class of 2027.

Aisosa Ochieng, Lamont Howard and Carly Hunter are running to represent the School of Diplomacy. Audrey Erskine-Dalessandro and Edward Sherman are seeking to represent the Stillman School of Business, while Keiri Shuyama and Donato Farid are the candidates for the School of Theology and ROTC seats, respectively.
