Entering the transfer portal on April 9 after a strong season with Seton Hall men’s basketball, junior guard Adam “Budd” Clark announced on his Instagram on Friday that he’s headed to Ole Miss.
Clark made a major impact for The Hall this season, earning All-BIG EAST Second Team honors along with a spot on the conference’s inaugural All-Defensive Team. The junior guard was one of Seton Hall’s most reliable two-way players all season long.
During the 2025-2026 season, Clark averaged 12.7 points per game while leading the team with his playmaking. He recorded a season-high 31 points against Providence on Feb. 11 and also posted 11 assists in the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinal against St. John’s. Defensively, Clark stood out as one of the top guards in the conference, highlighted by multiple five-steal performances last season.
Before arriving at SHU, the Philadelphia native transferred in from Merrimack. As a sophomore, he averaged 19.8 points per game and ranked among the national leaders in steals and assists. He earned All-MAAC First Team honors and was named conference player of the week five times. In his freshman season, Clark was named NEC Rookie of the Year after averaging 13.4 points per game.
Clark now joins an Ole Miss program that has previously added former Pirate forward Dre Davis, who transferred to the Rebels back in 2024.
Now that Clark’s commitment is official, head coach Shaheen Holloway loses his top point guard and defensive leader. Clark will be difficult to replace as the Pirates continue to rebuild their roster for next season.
