247Sports’ Dushawn London reported on Monday that Seton Hall men’s basketball forward Joshua Rivera has entered the transfer portal after spending one season with the program.
Rivera, a 6-foot-6 senior from New Brunswick, New Jersey, joined the Pirates after two seasons at Fordham and one at Lafayette. During the 2025-26 season, Rivera showed flashes of his ability. He had a season-high 10 points against Villanova on Dec. 23, and pulled down a season-best six rebounds against Georgetown on Feb. 21.
Before arriving in South Orange, Rivera was a key piece at Fordham. As a junior, he averaged 10.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, ranking third on the team in both categories. He posted multiple breakout scoring performances, including a 19-point outing against Rhode Island and multiple 17-point games throughout the season.
Rivera began his college career at Lafayette, where he earned Patriot League All-Rookie Team honors. He averaged 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds as a freshman and had multiple 20-point games, including a 27-point performance against American.
With Rivera now in the portal, the Pirates continue to see a roster turnover as the program reshapes their lineup heading into next season.
