Seton Hall women’s basketball could potentially lose one of their top guards next season, as On3’s Talia Goodman reported that Jada Eads has entered the transfer portal on Tuesday.
Eads spent the past two seasons in South Orange, which included a breakout freshman year that earned her an All-BIG EAST First Team honors. She was also named the MBWA Division I Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team, quickly becoming one of the top young guards in the conference.
During the 2025-26 season, Eads started all 16 games she played before her year was cut short on Jan. 17, when she suffered a season-ending ACL injury at DePaul. Prior to her injury, Eads averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game while leading the team in scoring three times. She reached double figures in 10 games and recorded a double-double earlier in the season.
One of Eads best performances came on Dec. 22 at Creighton, where she finished with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. She also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds at Princeton earlier in the season.
As SHU continues to adjust its roster this offseason, Eads’ decision marks another potentially major change. If she chooses to go elsewhere, her production will be difficult to replace heading into next season.
