Seton Hall’s online graduate program moved up 13 spots to No. 64 in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2026 Best Online Programs list.
SHU’s online graduate program, housed in the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media (CHDCM), also ranks among the Top 10 private universities in the country, according to a university-issued press release.
Regionally, SHU is ranked No. 2 in New Jersey and No. 6 across the tri-state area—New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, the press release said.
Bryan Crable, CHDCM’s dean, said these results speak volumes about the strength of CHDCM’s “academic community” and their commitment to “preparing leaders to make a real difference in primary, secondary, and postsecondary school environments.”
“Our faculty are deeply invested in their students’ success, and this recognition affirms the meaningful, applied work happening across our programs every day,” Crable said.
Last year, CHDCM programs ranked in the top 25% of all online graduate-level education programs in the country. They also ranked third among all Catholic colleges, holding the same overall ranking in New Jersey.
