Pirates announce Allie Palmieri will transfer to program for 2022-23

Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced Thursday morning that Boston College transfer guard Allie Palmieri will join the Pirates. Palmieri will have three years of eligibility remaining and is set to don the blue and white next fall for Bozzella's tenth year as head coach.

Bozzella, with high praise for Palmieri, relayed she will “be a perfect fit for our program." The 5’10” guard from Connecticut graduated early from high school and joined Boston College this past spring. Appearing in seven games, she averaged 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds.

Palmieri will be the second former Gatorade Player of the Year from Connecticut joining Seton Hall, as incoming freshman Shailyn Pinkney earned the honor in 2021.
