Seton Hall women's soccer wins consolation game, loses to West Point

The women's soccer team shut out Colgate, 1-0, in the consolation game of the West Point Invitational in West Point N.Y. on Sunday.

The Pirates improved their overall record to 3-1-1.

Sophomore Ashley Clarke scored the game winner for the Pirates with a penalty kick only 67 seconds into the game.

Junior Jennifer Pettigrew saved 4 shots to record her second shutout of the season and the fifth in her career.

Colgate Goalie Ashley Walsh made 8 saves in a losing effort. Colgate falls to 2-3-0 on the season.

The Pirates outshot Colgate 19-13, and had more than twice as many shots on goal, 9-4.

Sophomore Amie Ruhe led the Pirates in shots with four, including two on goal.

In the game before the women's soccer team was shut out at West Point, N.Y. for their first loss of the season by the score of 1-0 on Friday, Despite outshooting the Army Black Knights, 17-9.

The pirates fall to 2-1-1 for the season.

Army's Kim An converted on one of her three shots to score the lone goal in the top right corner of the net in the 47thminute to give the Black Knights the victory.

Army improved their record to 2-1-1.

Army Goalie Monica Lee saved five of the six shots on goal by the Pirates.
