Late-night fast food: Pirate's Cove

It is 11 p.m. on a Sunday and you just finished a ten-page paper. You are tired but extremely hungry. The commuter side of the cafeteria is closed and you do not feel like getting take-out. Though you may think you have no food options, you might be forgetting something.

Where do you go? The Pirate's Cove!

Late-night food cravings are common for an overworked college student and with the cafeteria's new hours the Cove is open until 11p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. Friday through Sunday.

The Cove has made many new changes for the fall semester including two different menus, one menu for during the week and another menu for the weekends. Included in the menus are a variety of coffees, lattes, teas and many other types of drinks.

Diners can also enjoy sushi and tuna, Caesar and Asian salads. A wide variety of new dishes are now also available, including ultimate grilled cheeses, quesadillas, potato skins, Philly cheese steaks, Buffalo wings and much more.

Prices are reasonable at The Cove and range from about $4 to $7. Eating at the Cove allows you to hang out in the sports bar atmosphere, chill with your friends and eat great food that is made fresh for you within minutes. Private booths, bar style stools and comfy couches allow students to kick back and watch television from flat screen TVs after a long day.

For the night owls, the Cove is open late for a midnight snack on the weekends. It also caters to commuters who do not want to swipe into the main dining hall for dinner or to those who may not have a meal plan.

Sometimes students do not want typical Chinese food or pizza so on weekends they can grab home-style food right on campus.
