New student section altered

Student sections are normally the most notable part of a college basketball arena, but at the Prudential Center, the students are overshadowed by a tarp that covers first three rows of the section creating a buffer between the students and the opponent's bench.

It was a normal Wednesday for the Seton Hall track and field teams on Feb 24, 2010. Practice had gone on as usual. Then, the athletes were called down to the new coach's suite to meet with Seton Hall administrators.

Questions still surround AD search

In an effort to find another missing piece to the jigsaw puzzle of Seton Hall athletics, recently promoted University President, A. Gabriel Esteban, notified students via email on Friday that a search committee has been assembled with the goal of establishing a new Director of Athletics.

Following wins against No. 9 Syracuse and Providence, senior guard Jeremy Hazell was named to this week's Big East Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Donovan named "Sports Woman of the Year"

Anne Donovan recently added to her basketball resume when she was named the New Jersey Sports Writers' Association (NJSWA) Sports Woman of the Year. Others who were honored include Fred Hill, Steve Somers and Frank Litsky.

Pirates drop Providence

The men's basketball team defeated Providence at home on Sunday afternoon, 81-71, in a game that the Friars never held the lead.

Momentum after the upset

With Tuesday night's 22-point shocker against No. 9 Syracuse still fresh in the Pirates' minds, the team returns home this Sunday to face Providence at 2 p.m.

Martinez's post-collegiate career made clearer

At one point in every child's life, they have aspirations of playing professional sports. Whether its playing in the World Cup final or pitching in the ninth inning of game seven of the World Series, dreams are had every day, yet so few of them come true, except in the case of Seton Hall senior midfielder Brayan Martinez.

No. 23 Georgetown defeat Pirates

The Pirates came up short of upsetting their first ranked team of the season with a 80-75 loss to No. 23 Georgetown. The loss puts the Hall's record at 8-11 and 2-5 in the Big East.
