Three Pirates honored by Big East

Three Pirates, men's soccer's redshirt senior goalkeeper Michael Kuzan and freshman Amanda Hansen and sophomore Shelbey Manthorpe of the volleyball team, were honored by the Big East Conference on Monday for their in-game performances this week.

Men's soccer loses Big East Opener to Syracuse

The men's soccer team's two-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday as the Pirates lost its first Big East match by one goal as Syracuse beat the Pirates,1-0. The lone goal came in the 26th minute off the foot of Orange freshman Jordan Vale, after finishing a cross. The Pirates attempted to rally back in the second half, with five shots on goal, however no Pirate connected with the back of the net. Goalie Michael Kuzan made a career-high 14 saves on the night. Volleyball wins first two Big East matches

The Seton Hall volleyball team opened Big East play this weekend with two victories at home, extending their winning streak to ten matches, the longest in program history. The two wins bring the Pirates record to 13-1 (2-0 Big East).

Kruse wins, leads team to second

On a day when golf conditions were not ideal, the Seton Hall women's golf team finished second, by one stroke, to St. John's with sophomore Alison Kruse taking home an individual title at the St. John's Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

Tennis takes three titles

The Seton Hall tennis team won three individual events and had a fourth representative in a final at the 2012 Quinnipiac Invitational this weekend.

Volleyball wins home tournament

The Seton Hall Pirates volleyball team won the Seton Hall University Invitational this weekend hosted in Walsh Gymnasium, beating both the Stony Brook Sea wolves, 3-2, (25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25, 15-11) and the Morgan State Bears 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-19) and increasing their season record to 11-1.

Women's golf opens season in second, Men 12th

This past weekend was one of opposite stories for the golf teams; the men's struggling, finishing 12th out of 15 in the Navy Fall Classic, while the women's team started their 2012-2013 campaign off strong, finishing tied for second out of 15 in the Lady Bison Fall Classic.
