International students increase campus culture: Ireland

If your idea of an Irish girl is a red head that two-steps like Michael Flatly, then juniors Jenny Keating and Deirdre O'Flynn are quite different than the expected. Keating and O'Flynn are both international exchange students from the Dublin Institute of Technology in Dublin, Ireland.

Nostalgic pop-punkers light up Hoboken

On a warm Sunday night in October, Anderson, Indiana's pop-punk quartet, The Ataris, played to a half-full, mostly reserved crowd at Hoboken's Maxwell's. The respite from this month's wintery weather seemed fitting: The Ataris are a band that thrives on the carefree, youthful, nostalgic associations of summer.

ALLIES is a campus-based organization that opposes discrimination against the gay, bisexual and transgender communities. The group focuses on education, while also giving its members a forum to discuss any matters they feel necessary.

Dr. Nathan M. Oates, assistant professor in the Department of English, is the new director of the Poetry-in-the-Round program. Poetry-in-the-Round invites compelling and renowned writers to Seton Hall University each year to read and discuss their works with students and community members.

Filmmaker travels the world to find inner peace

"The Human Experience" is a profound documentary that captures several difficult aspects of humanity. It makes the audience laugh, cry, and share in every emotion with the characters. From the beginning, it was breathtaking. The dramatic soundtrack combined with the flickering of numerous historical events on the screen succeeded in drawing me in further.

University spotlights local arts, sports

All of Seton Hall continues to suffer after Saturday's tragic events. The atmosphere of campus remains tinged with sadness and grief. Even those who didn't know Jessica Moore and the other students shot in East Orange on Saturday share in the suffering.

No problems on indie band's sophomore album

Upon my first skimming of Fake Problems' sophomore release "Real Ghosts Caught on Tape," I quickly labeled it generic indie music from some band I didn't care about. However, after giving this album the proper listen it deserves, my earlier assumptions have been dashed away.
