As temperatures rise, clocks spring forward, and students scatter on the green to soak up the sun, one thing becomes clear: the Student Activities Board’s (SAB) annual Onward concert is near.
On March 10, SAB posted an Instagram reel teasing student predictions for who the artist would be. Students guessed Tyler, The Creator, Charli XCX, Pitbull, Fetty Wap, Leon Thomas, Lil Tjay and Aboogie. One lucky guess correctly identified the mystery performer.
Malcolm Todd will be taking center stage at Seton Hall’s 2026 Onward spring concert, SAB announced via Instagram on March 12. The concert will take place on March 31 at 7 p.m. in the Richie Reagan Athletic Center.
Todd, also known as Malcolm Todd Hobert, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his songs “Art House,” “Roommates,” “Sweet Boy” and “Earrings,” which have all gone viral on TikTok. Todd shares a last name with another popular American singer-songwriter, Audrey Hobert, his older sister. Hobert is best known for her 2025 hit “Sue me” and for her close friendship with Gracie Abrams.
The 22-year-old artist has built a fanbase through a candid, lighthearted personality, often connecting with listeners his age. His music blends an R&B sound with hints of indie grooves and bedroom pop. Todd has released two albums so far: “Sweet Boy” (2024) and “Malcolm Todd” (2025), which has a deluxe version, “Malcolm Todd (Still).”
And Todd has more exciting news in store.
He announced on Instagram on March 10 that his new song, “Breathe,” will be released on Friday. Todd’s been teasing the song on TikTok, where fans in the comments are already expressing excitement, anxiously awaiting the release.
Ticket information for his March 31 concert at SHU will be released on March 13.
The concert is 19 days away, and there’s still time to tune into Todd’s music to join SHU and SAB for a night full of vibes.
