A hero's welcome should be in order for the lone survivor of Seton Hall men’s basketball’s transfer portal mass exodus.
On Tuesday, sophomore guard Trey Parker announced to his Instagram that he is returning to The Hall for his junior season with a post captioned, “DOUBLE BACK FOR MORE.”
Appearing in all 32 of SHU's games last season, Parker averaged 4.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.5 minutes per game. His best performance came at Georgetown on Jan. 10, when the sophomore had a season-high 12 points on 42.9% (3-for-7) shooting from the field and 83.3% (5-of-6) shooting from the charity stripe.
One of The Hall’s bench pieces last season, Parker is poised for even better production next season with a greater role on the team as the longest-tenured Pirate on the roster.
Parker’s return also adds even greater depth at the guard position for The Hall, whose roster currently features six guards, with four transferring in during this offseason alone.
