Men’s swim continues to coast with victory over Lehigh

After narrowly edging out Drexel in their house, the Pirates were given the task of sweeping the double header against the Mountain Hawks and did so with ease. The Seton Hall Pirates Men’s swim and dive team took care of business by a score of 156-81 against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks.

Junior diver and reigning, defending, and undisputed Big East champion in the one and three-meter diving events, Quinn Murtha, as he came four points short of the school record set by his current diving coach Ben Mitchell back in 2015.  Fellow junior diver and Big East three-meter diving runner-up Trevor Post won the three-meter dive, proving the junior tandem’s dominance.

“Every single day, I get to see him and how hard he works,” Murtha said about Post. “We both know that if he or I take our foot off the gas, the other will get the advantage.”

Sophomore Kevin Cary took home the 200-meter freestyle by a wide margin, while sophomore Clil Halevi won the 1,000-meter freestyle. Juniors Sean Vizzard and Benjamin Endersby took home the 400-meter individual medley and 100-meter breaststroke respectively.

The Hall improves to a perfect 4-0 on the season, and will have the next weekend off before sailing to Morgantown for the West Virginia Invitational from Nov. 16-18.
