Administration, faculty receive anonymous email threatening violence

Some University administrators and faculty members received an anonymous email earlier today that threatened violence on the South Orange campus.

At the time of this article, the threat is unverified.

“Any threat to our community’s safety is taken extremely seriously,” Media Relations said in an email sent out to the Seton Hall community this evening.

Public Safety is working with local, state and federal law enforcement to investigate the threat, Media Relations said. Until the investigation ends, there will be an increase in both safety measures and protocols, which includes the additional presence of law enforcement.

“The safety and well-being of every campus community member remains our foremost priority,” Media Relations said.

All campus activities will continue as scheduled.
