Junior Valerie Suto led the Hall with three hits in four at-bats, including an RBI. Senior Faith Laudano scored two runs, while freshman Chrisa Head chipped in the final run. Seton Hall could not cool down the hot bats of the Wildcats in the second contest. Tied up at 2-2 in the fourth, SHU freshman Ragen Reddick ripped a homer to center field. Head also earned a sacrifice RBI that advanced Suto home, but the lead would soon slip away. Villanova got hot in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs, three of which were headlined by a two-run home run from sophomore Dana Morris. The Wildcats had three players with two or more hits, including sophomore Brittany Husky, freshman Hanna Lauren and junior Chase Snell. Leading the charge for the Pirates in this second contest was junior Noel Lent, who went three-for-four including an RBI and a run. Freshman Destini Peck earned two RBI and Suto hit two-for-three with a run. Freshmen duo Madison Strunk and Head split pitching duties in both games.
