Pirates' Hazell breaks wrist, out four to six weeks

Seton Hall senior guard Jeremy Hazell will be out four to six weeks with a broken left wrist.

Hazell broke the scaphoid bone in his left wrist at some point in the Pirates' win over Alabama on Friday night.

According to an Assoicated Press quote of Assistant Athletic Director Matt Sweeney, the injury occured in the second half of the game when Hazell fell and tried to brace himself.

He is expected to miss four to six weeks.

In the best case scenario, he will miss almost all of the remaining non-conference games with the four week mark coming Christmas week when the Pirates play Dayton and Richmond for their tune up games before their Big East schedule starts on Dec. 28 against USF.

"Jeremy has been playing on such a high level to start the season and we feel bad for this to happen to him," head coach Kevin Willard said. "This however, is an excellent opportunity for his teammates to step up."
