Setonian EIC takes home GSJ radio award

Brian Wisowaty, the current Editor-in-Chief of The Setonian, recently took home first place in the "Radio Sports" category of the 2010 Garden State Journalists Association's Memorial Journalism Awards.

He received the accolade for his WSOU-FM broadcast of Seton Hall men's basketball vs. St. Peter's College last fall, a game in which the Pirates won on a last-second buzzer beating shot. Wisowaty is the current Station Manager of WSOU after serving as Sports Director last year.

"It's really humbling to take home first (place)," Wisowaty said. "This award is also a testament to all of the hard work of Seton Hall's student run radio station."

Wisowaty is a rising senior and a four-year member of both The Setonian and WSOU. He expects to graduate in May 2011 with a B.A. in journalism.
