The women's soccer team tied Georgetown, 1-1, at Owen T. Carroll Field, on Sunday.
It brought the team to a 4-5-1 record on the year.
Senior captain Megan Mills scored the lone goal of the game and her first of the season.
She gave the Pirates an early lead when she scored 15 minutes into the game.
"I can change the game in the back, but I've never been the one to do it in the front." Mills said. "It was nice to do that for the team."
Mills headed the ball toward the net off a corner kick from junior midfielder Nicki Gross.
Her original shot bounced off the crossbar.
She headed the rebound directly into the right corner of the net.
"It was a great extra effort," Tambi said. "She works so hard defensively so it was nice that she was rewarded with a goal."
Freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Pettigrew made four saves on the night.
She only allowed one goal in the game.
The goal came from Georgetown midfielder Caitlin Durkee in the 77th minute.
Durkee shot the ball in from 25 yards and found the left side of the net.
In two full overtime periods, consisting of ten minutes each, the Pirates put only two shots on goal.
Redshirt freshman Stephanie Soma came close to ending the game with a shot in the 101st minute.
Hoya goalkeeper Jackie DesJardin wouldn't let it past her.
Neither team was able to score in either overtime period.
At the end of the game, Seton Hall tallied 10 total shots, five corner kicks.
They racked up six fouls, and one yellow card.
On Friday, the Pirates lost to Villanova on the road, 3-1.
The Wildcats scored all three of their goals in the first 25 minutes of the game.
"We turned around and had a good second half," Tambi said. "But it's very hard to come back three goals that late especially when you're away from home."
After Villanova was already up 2-0, sophomore Danielle Schulmann netted her third goal of the season.
The goal cut the deficit in half and left the Hall trailing by only one goal.
It came just 10 minutes into the game when she stole the ball from a Wildcat defender.
She then sent it in from 18 yards back past Villanova goalkeeper Molly Williams.
Heidi Sabatura scored the third goal for the Wildcats in the 23rd minute off a one-touch pass from the right side.
The Pirates ended the night with a total of four shots on goal. Schulmann had a pair.
Soma and sophomore Taylor Wilson each contributed one shot.
Pettigrew made four saves by the game's conclusion.
"I don't think Jennifer faulted in any way," Tambi said. "I think it was a collective effort and, defensively, we didn't get squared away during the first part of the game."
The Pirates travel to the University of South Florida tomorrow to face the Bulls,
They are currently 1-1 in Big East play so far this season.
They will end the weekend at Milwaukee, Wisc. to play the Marquette Golden Eagles who are 1-0-1 in conference play at this point in the season.
