They kick, pitch and swoosh those three pointers for SHU victories. On Tuesday, Nov. 3 students had the chance to score and win a date with a Pirate Athlete.
Eighteen athletes representing five teams--baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming and diving and soccer--participated in Alpha Kappa Psi’s sixth annual Win A Date with a Pirate Athlete.
Proceeds from the event are to be donated to the fraternity’s philanthropy: Autism Speaks.
“We hope that the funds donated will go to helping increase awareness and research in this area,” Selene Presseller, a senior and brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, said. “We hope to bring more light to this cause in order to help the individuals and their families who live with autism.”
