Jeremy Hazell shot in arm

Senior guard Jeremy Hazell was shot four times last night under his right arm in an attempted robbery in his hometown of Harlem.

"He was back home for the holiday," Seton Hall spokesman Matt Sweeney said. "He was taken to St. Luke's Roosevelt, treated and released this morning."

Sweeney also added that he is "resting at home comfortably. "

Hazell has not played since breaking a bone in his left wrist in the first game of the Paradise Jam Tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands, against Alabama on Nov. 21.

At the time of the injury, Hazell was averaging 24 points a game after finishing third in the Big East in scoring last season.

No more information is available about the situation at this time.
