Former Seton Hall Coach, Bobby Gonzalez, discusses the loss to Texas Tech in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament on Tuesday, March 16th.

Seton Hall University and former men's basketball coach Bobby Gonzalez have reached a settlement in the coach's wrongful termination suit, according to The Star-Ledger.

The agreement was reached last week, four months after Gonzalez filed the suit in federal court.

Later, Seton Hall filed a countersuit claiming that Gonzalez failed to pay back a $50,000 loan given to him by the school.

Terms of the settlement have not been released.

"The university is happy to have this matter behind it and wishes Coach Gonzalez well," said Seton Hall spokeswoman Holly Wojcik to The Star Ledger.

Gonzalez was terminated by the University in March following a National Invitational Tournament loss to Texas Tech.

In June, Gonzalez was arrested as police say he stole a $1,400 satchel from the Short Hills Mall in Millburn.
