Places to take that special someone this summer

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="2070"] theodysseyonline.com[/caption] Relationships are set ablaze in the summer, similar to the weather barbeques and fireworks! The possibilities are endless when it comes to making the most of the long summer days and beautiful summer nights with your significant other. The summer season is also known as concert season so if you're looking for an unforgettable date then go to one of the many shows scheduled. While you may have to purchase tickets to enjoy music, there are some free concerts. SummerStage festival is held in Central Park, New York City to offer free live concerts and Philadelphia’s Radio 104.5 offers Summer Block Party free concerts on the first Sunday of the month. A visit to an amusement or water park is a great date for a couple of thrill seekers. There might even be a perfect excuse to hold hands when riding a terrifying coaster. Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ has the world’s tallest roller coaster, Kingda Ka and is filled with exhilarating rides, games and safari zoo. Tickets are usually about $70 each, but they can be purchased ahead of time online for cheaper. The ultimate destination for a summer date is the ocean! A picnic at the beach with your special someone is shore to be a great day of tanning, swimming, collecting seashells and many more memories. Daily beach passes are relatively inexpensive and if a free movie on the beach sounds good to you then head out to Belmar beach where they offer it every Saturday night. Summer is all about making the most of the day and night. Grab a blanket and your bae, maybe bug spray and prepare for a date that guarantees sparks. Speaking of sparks, firework shows are usually displayed in most areas in NJ especially around Independence Day. A classic part of summer to make for an even more classic and cute date is to go out with your significant other on an ice cream date. New Jersey is home to tons of spots to take your sweetheart for a sweet treat. A few favorites include Hoffman’s Ice Cream in Point Pleasant and Jersey Freeze in Freehold. Ice cream chains like Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone Creamery offer coupons online which creates for a perfect date while still maintaining a “college student” budget. As much as planning out a fun date can be, grabbing a map and your date for a road trip can make for the perfect “baecation.” Be sure to document whatever it is you and your partner find yourself doing this summer; cuddling while pouring over photos and remembering sunnier days with the bae will make the long cold winter that much more bearable!
