Freshman Katie Kim, Marissa Quevedo, and junior Isabell Klingert are the heroes for the Hall rallying three straight victories to win the match. Kim and Klingert cruised to victory in their matches by winning in straight sets. Klingert winning 6-2, 6-4 and Kim winning 6-1, 6-2.

Quevedo was the pivotal point in the match coming back from a set down to end up winning the point for the Hall. She won 4-6, 6-4, and 6-4. She was able to start the momentum for the Hall and it led to the victory.

Kim and Quevedo paired up in doubles as well and ended up winning 6-2. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs ended up winning the other two doubles matches to receive the point.

Hannah Liljekvist got the first point for the Hall by winning her match 6-4, 6-1.

The Pirates were placed in the consolation match due to a 4-1 rout from St. John’s in the first round of the Big East Championship. The clinching point was earned before two of the matches finished.

The lone point for the Hall was from Katie Kim who won a difficult first set in a tiebreaker and then cruised in the second. She won 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.

If the matches were able to finished Klingert had the best opportunity to receive a point for the Hall by being up a break in the third set.

The Pirates have all six girls eligible to return who played in the singles matches against Butler and St. Johns. The Pirates gained a lot of experience this season and look to be a much tougher team next season with basically everyone returning.
