Greek housing approved

The Greek Living and Learning Community pilot program received enough participants to begin in Ora Manor next year, according to Brian O'Malley, residence hall director of Turrell Manor and Ora Manor.

Residents in the program will occupy about a third of a floor in the off-campus apartment complex Ora Manor.

By 2015, O'Malley said, he plans to have enough students for the entire floor.

"We plan on gearing certain programs specifically toward the Greek Unity LLC and that section of the floor," O'Malley said.

In addition, the doors of each housing unit will be adorned with letters to represent the residents' organizations.

Ora Manor is an apartment-style off-campus housing option for students. It is roughly two miles from campus, at 324 Valley St., and offers transportation to campus and nearby destinations by the SHUFly. The complex can house approximately 100 students.
