Performer garners fans in the Cove last week

On April 17, singer and songwriter Landon Austin came to Seton Hall University to perform in the Cove. The Nashville-based artist frequents different college campuses and while he is still working his way up the music charts, his performance showed that there is no doubt he will be a hit, gaining fans immediately after stepping off the stage.

Austin covers popular songs like Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me," as well as performing his own original tunes. His sentimental, smooth, sweet voice turns even upbeat songs into something relaxing and hopeful.

While strumming his guitar, Austin appears to be the ideal hopeless romantic musician whose original lyrics make him vulnerable as he opens up and shows his feelings. While his covers are exciting and get the crowd involved right off the bat, Austin is able to succeed on his own with his original songs just as much.

Some of his original songs include "Once In A Lifetime" and "Stop Time," which are the perfect songs for summer romance.

Even though his career is just beginning to bloom, this singer-songwriter's sincerity and natural talent are sure to prove successful.
