Cosby out 4 weeks with knee injury

Sophomore guard Aaron Cosby will miss up to four weeks due to a sprained PCL according to Jerry Carino. The injury occurs with just three weeks until the Pirates' opening game against UMKC on Nov. 9, leaving Cosby's status for the game questionable.

After playing most of his freshman year at shooting guard, Cosby is going to be looked at as one of the players to replace Jordan Theodore at point guard, along with sophomore Freddie Wilson and freshman Tom Maayan.

Cosby averaged 7.9 points per game during his freshman year while leading the team in 3-pointers made, attempted and field goal percentage from beyond the arc. With Theodore and Herb Pope graduated, Cosby is only behind junior Fuquan Edwin in minutes played and points per game returning for the Pirates.
