Mass honors victims of Boland Hall dorm fire

A Mass was celebrated in memory of the 12th anniversary of the Boland Hall fire in the University Chapel of Immaculate Conception Thursday evening. President A. Gabriel Esteban was in attendance as well as several members of the Seton Hall and South Orange community. Msgr. Anthony Ziccardi started Mass by suggesting those in attendance "pray for the living and those who are deceased." The Mass made mention of the three individuals, Frank Caltabilota, John Giunta, and Aaron Karol, who lost their lives in the fire, as well as those who survived. The service included a reading from Associate Provost and Dean of Freshman Studies, Tracy Gottlieb. Ziccardi noted that while the community may still be grieving they should be consoled. "Frank, John, and Aaron, they would have us be so," Ziccardi said. Ashley Duvall can be reached at Ashley.duvall@student.shu.edu
