Off-campus robbery involves non-SHU community member

An employee of Hunan Garden restaurant was robbed of an unknown amount of money at the intersection of University Court and South Orange Avenue at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 31, according to the South Orange police blotter. According to the SOPD, a witness stated he saw three black juvenile males assaulting the victim and when the witness pulled his car over to help the victim, the actors fled east on South Orange Avenue. A Pirate Alert about the incident was sent to the Seton Hall community at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday. One of the actors is described as wearing a dark gray, hooded sweatshirt, according to the police blotter. According to the Pirate another actor was described as wearing a yellow sweatshirt. No further descriptions are available and a search for the actors was negative. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
