Pope, Hazell lead Hall past William Paterson

The Seton Hall men's basketball team defeated the William Paterson Pioneers 97-55 on Friday night at Walsh Gymnasium.

Senior Jeremy Hazell and junior Herb Pope both scored 16 points in the contest.

Hazell attempted just 13 shots in the 22 minutes that he played.

Pope led all players with 20 rebounds.

This was his first game since his heart injury last April.

Freshman Fuquan Edwin made his Pirate debut in the game.

He scored 15 points to go along with five rebounds and four steals.

Sophomore Ferrakohn Hall scored 13 points in the game.

The Pioneers were led by guard Nick Allen, who had 13 points in the game.

They are coached by former Pirate Jose Rebimbas. He was on the 1989 Pirate team who made the Final Four.

The Pirates play their first regular season game on the road at Temple on Nov. 12.
